Welcome to Moonriver Self Catering, perfectly nestled on the banks of the Bitou River, in Plett! An unspoiled wetland of abundant bird and marine life just outside Plettenberg Bay, this is perfect for nature lovers who have an exceptional range of activities to choose from on the Garden Route.

Guests can enjoy a relaxing environment with birding and kayaking right on your doorstep!  While only 10 minutes away from the many attractions of Plettenberg Bay, our private river frontage offers glorious views over the wetlands.

Moonriver Plett Accommodation

Moonriver Self Catering Accommodation consists of two units both fully kitted self-catering apartments, each with a braai (BBQ) area, and plenty of secure parking. Access to the 200m river frontage is only meters away by private  ramp. ​

On request overflow from apartment bookings can be accommodated by tent with a separate shower and toilet facilities on our spacious riverside location.

The Loft

The apartment is on the first floor, affording a wonderful view of the river and wetland, tastefully decorated with the artists original paintings. Access is made easy via a wide staircase from the nearby parking area. A large veranda includes an outside braai / barbeque area with table.​

The Garden Flat

Activities in Plett

• View the big five at the nearby Plett Game reserve a mere 15 minute drive away, or spend a day on the ocean exploring the many activities locally on offer.
• Numerous hiking, horseback and mountain bike trails snake along the cliffs of the rugged coastline and the blue mountains of the interior. 
• Southern Right Whales and schools of dolphins can be seen from various vantage points in the town centre, or spotted as you enjoy a quiet stroll along Plettenberg Bay`s 15 km of unspoiled sandy white beaches.
• Learn about monkeys, lemurs, gibbons and other primates at Monkeyland, the first sanctuary of "Touch a Monkey`s Heart" Foundation.
